Jeanie Elliott
Biography Workshop: Discovering the Thread
Tuesday, April 22
Location To Be Announced
Every human biography is unique and is a window into the being behind it. As William Stafford says in his poem, “There is a thread you follow…” We each follow our own thread, sometimes knowingly, sometimes blindly, and hope in time to discover how it winds through our life. This will be an interactive evening of biographical discovery, individual and mutual.
Jeanie Elliott grew up north of Chicago; earned a degree in French, Art History, and American Literature from the University of Colorado; spent 20 years teaching young adult Swiss students in Bern, Switzerland, where she encountered anthroposophy and began an increasingly earnest study of it. She moved to California to become a Waldorf High School teacher at Summerfield Waldorf School and Farm in Santa Rosa for 10 years; was Enrollment Coordinator at the Santa Cruz Waldorf School for 7 years and also helped found and taught at the Santa Cruz Waldorf High School; has been a faculty member at Camphill Academy since its foundation here, and before that in the Camphill, CA Social Therapy Course.
We request our usual donation of $20 or $10 for current paid branch members.
